Like life, art is constantly evolving. Unplanned and unfolding in time.

I was a decent student in most subjects, but art was always my favourite. There was something so beautiful and messy about it and while I learned the technical side of drawing and painting, I was never exceptional, technically. I preferred to ‘colour outside the lines’.
I was fortunate to be born with a mentor. My mother is an incredible artist and taught me the fundamentals of painting. She provided the right level of critique and pointed out when a painting was under or overworked and that in art and life, there are very few real mistakes. Often you can take a different direction or if things are going nowhere, start again.
Some of my favourite techniques were discovered by accident and my favourite moments in art and life are when I let things go and follow the direction that feels right. Sometimes this works, sometimes it doesn’t, but it keeps things interesting.
I love talking about my pieces and inspiration. If you are interested in seeing them in person, please contact me.
